OCMA: Social Distancing, Haiku and You
As we navigate the challenges of being physically distant from each other, sharing in a communal creative activity takes on greater meaning. Sound artist Alan Nakagawa invited haiku poets to join him in responding to our current time by writing and recording a haiku about their experience. Nakagawa then composed a sound collage comprised of the collective haikus, released on Thursday, 23 April 2020. The exhibition was featured in The Smithsonian Magazine, New York Times, and L.A. Times.
